Quick replacement method for loader tires
2024-09-25
Do you know the 9-step method for quick on-site replacement of loader tires

1. Start the machine, find a relatively flat and open area nearby, press down on the boom lift rod, use the boom support to lift the front wheels off the ground, then use a bracket to support them on the side of the flash bridge near the tire blowout, and wedge the rear wheels (must closely cooperate with the driver to avoid personal injury).

2. Using tools such as pry bars, remove the retaining ring and lock ring, and then check whether the tire liner is adhered to the outer surface of the wheel rim (the liner may adhere to the outer surface of the wheel rim after prolonged use of the tire). If a removable support occurs, the machine should run slowly back and forth over a short distance until the pad is detached from the outer surface of the wheel rim; Steering and high-speed driving are strictly prohibited to avoid damaging the inner tube. Then, the front wheels are re supported.

3. Mark the relative positions of the inner and outer tires for easy identification, removal of foreign objects, and tire repair.

4. Use tools such as pry bars to remove the tire from the wheel rim. Attention, the movements should be gentle and coordinated to avoid being hit by tires, and the valve mouth should be protected.

5. If the outer tire is punctured by slender foreign objects such as nails, and there are no obvious wounds on the surface or the wounds are small, the outer tire can continue to be used (because loader tires are low-pressure tires and run at a slower speed); If the wound is large, it must be repaired (because during machine operation, the tire is subjected to compression and friction, which can damage the inner tube over time, and even cause the wound to become larger and the inner tube to protrude, resulting in tire scrap).

6. If it is a new inner tube, the bolts at the bottom of the valve must be tightened to prevent air leakage; Then remove the foreign objects from the inner cavity of the outer tire, sprinkle appropriate talcum powder, and apply evenly. In order to ensure a tight fit between the liner and the inner and outer tires, the inner tube should be properly inflated before inserting the liner.

7. Install the tire onto the wheel rim, and attach the locking ring and retaining ring; Protect the valve nozzle during installation.

8. Inflate the tires with a car mounted air compressor.

9. Press down the boom lifting rod and remove the bracket; The tire change is now complete, and the entire process takes approximately 50 minutes. When replacing the rear tire, another loader or other lifting equipment is needed to assist in supporting the rear tire, and other procedures are the same as replacing the front tire
